This policy explains what personal data MortgageMatch UK collects, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR.

Who we are

MortgageMatch UK operates this directory. For data-protection questions, use the contact form.

What we collect

  • Reviews: the name, star rating and comment you submit, plus the date. Do not include information you don't want to be public.
  • Contact form: your name, email and message.
  • Broker listings: firm-level business information (name, address, phone, email, website). Where a listed email or phone belongs to a sole trader, we consider this personal data and process it under legitimate interest for the purpose of running a public trade directory.
  • Technical logs: minimal server logs (IP, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.

Lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interest for directory listings and moderation, and on your consent (given by submitting the form) for reviews and contact messages.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is hosted by our infrastructure providers (including Supabase) acting as data processors under contract.

Retention

Reviews and contact submissions are kept for as long as they remain relevant. You can ask us to delete a review you submitted or a listing that concerns you personally at any time.

Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise any of these, contact us via the contact page. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use only strictly-necessary cookies (for example to keep an admin logged in). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.
